Oboe & Double Bass Duet Set

This collection consists of three short duets for oboe and double bass, composed in Sibelius.

Duet No.1

Duet No. 1 explores melodic motion inspired by the I–IV–V blues progression. The piece experiments with notes and rhythmic swing and contrasting textures between the oboe and double bass. As one of my earliest compositions, it also reflects my exploration of the expressive possibilities—and limitations—of composing and realizing music in Sibelius.
