Here are my compositions from 2025–2026, documenting the beginning of my journey as a composer.

Oboe & Double Bass Duet Set

This collection consists of three short duets for oboe and double bass, composed in Sibelius.

Duet No.1

Duet1 explores melodic motion inspired by the I–IV–V blues progression. The piece experiments with notes and rhythmic swing and contrasting textures between the oboe and double bass. As one of my earliest compositions, it also reflects my exploration of the expressive possibilities—and limitations—of composing and realizing music in Sibelius.

Duet No.2

Duet No. 2 continues to develop the same musical materials introduced in Duet No. 1, while exploring the sonic ideas of stretching, distortion, submerging, and floating. Among the three duets, this is my favorite, as I feel these sound transformations create a balanced and harmonious musical atmosphere.

Duet No.3

Duet No. 3 was inspired by my morning bird recordings along a trail near my home. The melodic material incorporates imitations of a rooster, several unidentified birds, and a family of wild turkeys. For the turkey calls, my tutor suggested using flutter tonguing, which creates a distinctive and expressive sound effect that I found particularly interesting.
